My
name is Danny Hurson and I live in County Monaghan, Ireland.
When I was about 12 I was diagnosed with a disability
(Friedreich's
Ataxia) which gradually results in a lack of co-ordination
and balance. When I was 19, I started to use a wheelchair
to get about.
The first time I started to listen to Bob Marley was
soon after this. I remember my brother asking me to
tape a Bob Marley concert for him, (at this time I didn't
know who this man was - dancing round the stage, singing
'bout his God!). I found myself listening to his songs
and could really identify, because of my own life, with
the different sayings and messages in his songs.
From that time on, I just learnt more and more about
Bob Marley the man, his life, and Jah.
Just before I turned 22, after nearly 3 years of listening
to Bobs music I finally got the will power to go to
Jamaica to see where the legend was born, raised and
lived. I realised I needed someone to come with me,
and my father volunteered to come. So, I got the tickets
and somewhere to stay for two weeks, and said 'Right
lets go!'.

Since then I have been seeing the Wailers and many
of the Marley children carry on the good work of their
father Bob. Click on the links in the menu on the right
to read reviews and see pictures of some of the concerts
I have been to.
Bob Marleys music and Rastafari have touched my life
in many ways, if you would like to find out more about
Bobs faith, life and more - take a look at the RASTA
part of the site which includes a brief biography of
Bob.

The expression "I and I" is
frequently heard among Rastas. What it means is that
no person is more priviledged than another in the basic
truth of life. All people are totally equal. This is
why many times Rastas will opt to use "I and I"
instead of "you and I" because they believe
that all people are bound together by the one god, Jah.
Feel free to contact me using the GUEST
BOOK or EMAIL
icons at the top of the page. I am always looking for
more concerts and photos to add to this site so if you
have something you would like to share... just get in
touch.
