Later
this year in August, (not long after The Wailers), I
went back with my sister to see Ziggy Marley play in
Boston. He was promoting his new album Dragonfly, his
first solo album.
Ziggy played for about 2 and a half hours, he played
many of his father's tunes and all but the last two
from his Dragonfly album along with many of his older
songs. There was a great atmosphere.
The
concert was a free outdoor event, which was probably
why the wheelchair section was placed in such a bad
position. It was plenty big enough for the 6 or so people
with wheelchairs and had a small fence surrounding it,
but sadly it was only about half a foot higher than
the ground!
In front of us were at least five rows of people were
standing - making it nearly impossible to see Ziggy
who was only 20 to 30 feet in front of us; especially
for the last hour or so.
I wish that the people organising these events would
put more thought into these things, but apart from the
view, the concert was amazing!
This is a picture of my sister who went to the concert
with me and above is one of the massive tour busses
that Ziggy used.
